The final stage of the "Mahjong King" competition was held on April 25, 2015 in the extremely crowded Sales Center of Times City (Foshan) Phase I. Concurrently, "Running Man in Sanshui," a large-scale variety show, enjoyed the enthusiastic participation of more than a thousand Sanshui residents.

The finals were held in the Sales Center at two o'clock in the afternoon. Persevering through the intense preliminaries and semifinals, 44 talented players made it to the final round.

Mr. Zhang, who, after two hours of competition, was the player with the most chips. He was thus given the honorary title of "Mahjong King," along with a prize of RMB 3,600 and a certificate. Additionally, the second-level, third-level and memorial prizes and certificates were awarded according to number of chips held. The event was thrilling for everyone involved.

The conclusion of the Times City "Mahjong King" event coincided with the start of "Running Man in Sanshui," a variety show slated to last till May 10.

According to supervisors from Times City (Foshan), "Running Man in Sanshui" is a large-scale variety show for all citizens. The 70-meter track consists of eight sections: "Seize Every Minute," "Walk on a Plank Road," "Fly on the Eaves," "Stretch at Will," "Creep Forward," "March or Retreat," "Tramp over Mountains" and "Climb onto the Peak." Those who finish the course within a given duration will receive exciting prizes.

The excitement of the game, together with the abundant prizes, drew the eager participation of adults and children alike. Ms. Liang, a property owner from Phase III, said the activity was very interesting. She added that it was a fantastic opportunity for weekend exercise that would encourage her to be more active throughout the week. The youngest participant said she would be sure to get a better result the next time around, because then she'd be older and better prepared like the bigger kids.
