City makes life better and communities, the composing elements of a city, are the key to a happier life. Changsha once again made into the list of top 10 happiest cities selected by CCTV2, which indicated what a wonderful life people in the city enjoy and also recognized the efforts they made to realize that. In the same spirit, Times King City (Changsha) carried out a series of community-building activities, an innovative and practical step toward building itself into the happiest community.

Times King City (Changsha) Held Its First Owners’ Party 

Times King City (Changsha) first owners' party was held by Times Property on July 10, 2015. Thousands of owners from Times King City and Rose Garden communities got together with the leaders of the communities, neighborhoods, schools and Times Property. The party, featuring a variety of remarkable performances, a community volunteer service initiation ceremony and exciting prize drawings, proclaimed the start of a campaign to build Times King City (Changsha) into the happiest community in Changsha or even in Hunan Province.

Five Keys of Building a Happy Community

Mr. Luo Zhiping, General Manager of Times Property (Changsha), gave a speech at the initiation ceremony, pointing out the purpose of the community-building efforts. Mr. Luo said that building a Happy King City ideal for living, namely, a harmonious community, was based on the owners’ longing for a happy life. He added that Times King City (Changsha) wishes to increase the owners’ happiness index and enable them to live a blissful life in a comfortable and friendly neighborhood.

Mr. Luo Zhiping then introduced the five major points of building a happy community. The first, he said, is to form a good team, establish a special task force and define the duties of each person. The second is to create a good product, pay close attention to the quality of construction projects and allow no slacking. The third point is to provide good services. This is particularly so because Times Property is not satisfied by the national standards for first-grade property-management enterprises, but instead implements its own upgrading plans for property management with improvements in humanization and detail. The fourth point is to form a strong, positive culture by establishing a community volunteer service station comprising an art club, sports club and charity club, etc., where the community members can find more joy in life, make friends and forge strong ties with their neighbors through regular, positive involvement. The fifth point is to ensure good publicity by planting the idea of community in the mind of every owner, thereby increasing their self-confidence and sense of pride. By fully implementing the Five Goods, we will one day take our place as the happiest community.

Launching of the Community Volunteer Service Station

At 8:10 p.m., after a short video about Times Property Charity Foundation, leaders and representatives of volunteers illuminated a crystal ball, symbolizing the initiation of the community volunteer service. Then, the event culminated at a splendid display of fireworks The community volunteer service station, which consists of an art club, a sports club, and a charity. was established to enhance the owners’ sense of belonging and happiness by mobilizing them to organize and/or volunteer in community activities. Mrs. Tao, a community volunteer at Times King City said, "We want to bond with our neighbors through our common hobbies. We hope that residents in the community can enjoy a happy family life. Couples love each other; family members are tightly bonded together; and the elderly are respected and the children are adored."

Becoming a Happy King City Ideal for Living 

The party ended in the owners’ chorus of "China Dream", but for Times King City (Changsha) the party was just a start of its journey for community-building. The supporting facilities in the community have been continuously improved by Times Property, but the creation of a sense of happiness in community depends on the residents. Times King City (Changsha) is a large community of 16,000 households and 55,000 dwellers. If every one of them can contribute, the dream of building Times King City into a Happy King City ideal for living will soon be realized and Times King City will become an fine example of a harmonious, civilized and happy community for the citizens of Changsha and even Hunan Province to follow.
